FO: Fasten off

BLO: Back loop only

FLO: Front loop only

Brown yarn

How to do dcdec: in this crochet pinecone pattern free tutorial, we will use the special stitch of double crochet decrease. First, unfinished dc in same st with first 2ch, next unfinished dc in next st, then join 2 unfinished dc together and form a dcdec.

Turn, and hold the cone with the top facing you. 

FLO from R17 to R11 (2ch, dcdec, 2ch, ss in same st, ss to next st) around. 

FO. Hide the yarn tail.

Embroider the face and belt.
