Chicku Penguin – the cute and adorable amigurumi is the 8th design inside a cool collection named “Roly-Poly Mystery Collection” – a year-long collaboration between Anvi’s Granny and Hooked by Kati. The coolest thing: all the patterns are no-sew or minimal sewing amigurumi designs, which are great for busy crocheters who don’t want to struggle with sewing tasks.
And like the name of the collection, you don’t know which animals will be there There are some real animals and some fantasy creatures, but I promise, they are all cute and fun to crochet!
Each month, on the first Friday of the month, a new pattern will be released! I am so excited to show you all the fabulous animals and even more excited to see your makes from the patterns.

FREE AMIGURUMI PENGUIN PATTERN – WHY A PENGUIN?
As you know, the whole Roly Poly Mystery Animal Collection features chubby and cut animals with big tummies (like my husband, haha). And what is a better choice than a Penguin?
I have never designed any penguin, so, yeap, meet my Ropy Poly polar bird!
How about the name? That day I was wondering about the name of this lovely tiny penguin amigurumi toy, then my kids asked me to buy sapodilla for them! And in the Marathi language, Chicku is the name of this fruit.
Tada, a perfect name was born!
As usual, a sweet shout-out to my talented tester, Lian. She made Chicku in a black and colorful outfit, with a Christmasy vibe, along with customized embroidered eyes.
Roly-Poly Penguin- tested by Lian https://www.instagram.com/lian2807/
Isn’t Black Chicku so cool? This version of Lian made me think of the penguin gangsters in the movie Madagascar, do you think so?
